Come on Over (Turn Me On) by Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell from Sunday at Devil Dirt.
This song intoxicates my mind into a euphoric state comparable to a drug experience. It’s amazing how you can take a guy from a 90’s grunge band, Mark Lanegan from Screaming Trees, and a cellist from some indie-pop band, Isobel Campbell, and make something as clean, centered and somber is so unique. Listening to these two sing together to me, is the true meaning of marriage. It’s not about religion, or about ceremonies, or perception, it’s about two odds, coming together and making a greater even. Now there’s a quote. Take that to the bank.
